5. Detective Byomkesh Bakshi (10th April)
I remember trying to explain my non-Bengali friends the thrill, the suspense and the nail-bitting scenes of Byomkesh Bakshi as the film released only in Bengali. Obviously they never got my point. Detective Byomkesh Bakshi is Dibankar Banerjee’s next crime thriller project to remind us the sharpness of Bengali writer Sharadindu Bandyopadhyay’s detective character, Byomkesh Bakshi. If the name itself doesn’t interest you enough, there’s another news that is sure to attract the audiences. The movie stars Sushant Singh Rajput opposite Tollywood actress, Swastika Mukherjee as Byomkesh’s wife, Anguri. The film promises to take us back to the pre-Independence era of Vintage cars and old trams. The shooting is partly done in Kolkata (including The Presidency College and The Coffee House) and partly in Mumbai. The teaser features the tagline “ Expect the Unexpected”. Definitely one of the most awaited Bollywood movies in 2015.
6. Bombay Velvet (15th May)
This is Anurag kashyap’s neo-noir drama based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables. It’s the story of boxer, Johnny Balraj (Ranbir Kapoor) and aspiring Jazz singer, Rosie (Anushka Sharma) set in early 1950’s towards 1970’s, before Mumbai became a metropolis. The one thing that makes the movie stand out besides being directed by Anurag Kashyap is that it is going to mark Karan Johar’s full fleged acting Debut! Amit Trivedi’s music is sure to be an add-on as well.
7. Dil Dhadakne Do (5th June)
After ZNMD, it’s time for Zoya Akhtar’s Dil Dhadakne Do starring Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah and Anushka Sharma. Also, the old school pair, Kumar Sanu and Lata Mangeshkar are the lead singers for the film! You can also expect soothing numbers by Shreya Ghoshal.

The film will be a musical fare and soundtrack is by Pritam.
11. Bajirao Mastani (25th December)
The Ram-Leela team is back with another Indian historical romance, Bajirao Mastani. It is the story of Maratha Peshwa Baji Rao I and his second wife Mastani. Previously, Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai were supposed to act in this movie but due to their much publized break-up, Bhansali cast Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra instead. Bhansali’s magnum opus in the making? We will reserve our comments till the release.
12. Tamasha (Date not declared)
After the rave reviews he garnered in Highway, Imtiaz Ali is all set for Tamasha in 2015. The title refers to the Shakespeare monologue “All the world’s a stage and all men and women are merely players”. Like Jab We Met, Imtiaz Ali brought back the broken-up couple Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. The film score is by A.R. Rahman. Deepika sets out on an adventure where she meets Kapoor and the romance begins! After Jab We Met and Highway, Tamasha holds a lot of expectation from the audiences.
